FMAC Awards

FMAC considers nominations for 2 awards presented annually at the Fire Marshals Symposium during the Fire Leadership Challenge in Keystone in October. 

2024 Nominations are due September 18, 2024!

Annual Awards

Fire Marshal of the Year - Qualified nominations shall be for a person that is an FMAC Class ‘A’ member and holds the position of fire marshal, or similar title, that oversees a fire and life safety division/section of an emergency response agency of any state, municipal, county, or special fire district within the state of Colorado. 

Fire Prevention Officer of the Year - Qualified nominations shall be for a person employed by, and conducts fire prevention activities for, an emergency response agency of any state, municipal, county, or special fire district within the state of Colorado The agency must have one Class 'A' member for the nominee to qualify.

Other Awards

Excellence in Service Award - Unlike the annual awards, nominations for the Excellence in Service Award are accepted year round, and can be presented at any business meeting throughout the year.  This award will be given at the discretion of the Executive Board for a considerable individual accomplishment(s) related to the mission of the Association and/or direct service to the Association.
