National Fire Academy Course, N0137, Water Based Fire Protection System Plan Review

Couse Description: This six-day course will enable students to perform a plan review to evaluate the suitability of the fire sprinkler, pump, and standpipe plans and calculations in accordance with nationally recognized standards for design and installation. Course content covers fire protection standards, plan reading, water supplies, building envelope features, fire protection hydraulics mathematics, fire pumps, sprinkler systems, and standpipe systems.
Assessing Structure Ignition Potential from Wildfire - (June 21 -22, 2017)
NFPA has opened the registration for a FEMA grant funded 2 day (HIZ) Assessing Structure Ignition Potential from Wildfire training located in Santa Fe, New Mexico June 21-22. Costs to attend are covered by the FEMA grant and include: registration, course materials, travel and per diem for meals and hotel costs. This is a great opportunity for fire departments to obtain this training. Apply today for your opportunity to attend. Panel Discussion on Home Fire Sprinklers (June 22, 2017)
Thanks to the generosity of a grant through NFPA’s Fire Sprinkler Initiative, the Colorado Fire Sprinkler Coalition is able to host an exciting panel discussion on home fire sprinklers on June 22, 2017. Please join us and hear from the City of Westminster and Thrive Home Builders on their experience with protecting 460 single-family homes and townhouses with fire sprinkler systems. Jim Ford from Scottsdale, Arizona will also be joining us to share over 30 years of experience with home fire sprinklers. Hear their perspectives, challenges, solutions, and best practices, including the facts about cost and the impact of home fire sprinklers.
