In 2025 legislation passed that significantly affects how local jurisdictions can apply the fire code to factory-built structures. As a result, FMAC and CSFC appointed Wayne Griswold of Terp Consulting as our representative on the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) to create rules for these structures. Those rules have been completed and went into effect on 7/1/2026. There will be representatives from the Division of Housing at the meeting to inform everyone on what the rules say, how to apply them, and a Q&A session.

Because these changes will affect all jurisdictions, attendance is strongly encouraged. This meeting is an important opportunity to gain a clear understanding of the new rules and help ensure their consistent and effective implementation statewide.
