FMAC Mountain Region Business Meeting (09:00)

Training: Electrical Safety (10:00 - 12:00)

This class is designed to strengthen foundational knowledge by returning to the basics of electrical systems and wiring methods while connecting them to National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements. Attendees will gain a practical understanding of how various components operate and how they tie directly into NEC standards.

Presented by: Gabe Ortiz (DFPC)

Gabe has over 20 years of experience in the electrical and building industries. He holds a Colorado Master Electrician license and an Associate's Degree in Electrical Construction. Currently, he serves as an Educator with the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control (DFPC), where he develops and delivers training for code officials and industry professionals across the state. Prior to joining DFPC, Gabe spent more than a decade in municipal building departments as a Combination Building Inspector and Building Inspector Supervisor, providing plan reviews, inspections, and code guidance across multiple disciplines. His goal is to bridge the gap between field practice and code enforcement by bringing a practical, real-world perspective to electrical training.
