PRESENTATION:  Fall Protection Programs for Seniors

Join us for a community risk reduction topic targeted towards our growing senior population.  Falls are #1 EMS calls for most every department across the U.S. (It's a problem)

Speakers: Sasha Story (Nymbl) and Bob Sullivan (NFPA Southwest Regional Director)

Sasha graduated with a degree in elementary education and taught for 3 years before joining the fire service at North Metro Fire Rescue District.  At North Metro Fire, Sasha was the Fire and Life Safety Education Specialist with a focus on older adult outreach.  This outreach included fire and life safety education, highly focused on fall prevention.  Sasha joined Nymbl in February of 2022 as their Community Outreach and Enrollment Manager and has continued her work with fall prevention throughout Colorado and is now expanding work throughout the rest of the country.  Sasha served on the Colorado Risk Reduction Network Executive Board as the Member at Large for 1 year and Secretary for 2 years and continues to be very involved in CRR.

Bob is our well-known local NFPA regional representative.  Bob was a firefighter, driver-operator, company officer, and firefighting training officer for decades.  Bob also has a masters degree in Fire Protection Engineering, with which he has worked in the insurance industry, followed by many years as a fire safety engineering plan reviewer at the City of Thornton Fire Department before transitioning to NFPA.

Business Meeting to follow the presentation.  Please register for the business meeting separately from our Events page.
