PRESENTATION:  Disability Inclusive Fire Safety & Community Risk Reduction

This interactive session will focus on disability inclusive fire safety approaches and community risk reduction strategies. Participants will learn about, and be encouraged to contribute their own experiences, partnering with people with disabilities on CRR techniques such as education, enforcement, economic incentives, engineering and emergency response. Conversations will intentionally consider how race, class, gender, disability and age can intersect and influence the overall effectiveness of fire safety/CRR programming. The importance of disability inclusive data collection/analysis will also be openly discussed as we strive to make more informed life safety decisions and involve the whole community in how success is sustained/measured.
