SPEAKER: Mark Hopkins, PE (National Fire Sprinkler Association)
Mark is Vice President of Engineering for the National Fire Sprinkler Association (NFSA). Mark has both a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master of Science Degree in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park. Mark routinely writes technical articles and provides informal interpretations of codes and standards.
Mark co-authored the Fire Protection Research Foundation report titled Quantification of Water Flow Data Adjustments for Sprinkler System Design. Mark has also co-authored a report for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) regarding the performance of the fire suppression systems in the World Trade Center disaster, NCSTAR 1-4B. Mark was a contributing author to the NFPA 13, 2019 edition handbook.
